Practitioner FAQs

If you have discovered your name listed or are exploring whether Satori Exchange is the right fit for your work, you likely have questions. That is a good thing.

This platform is intentionally structured with clear systems, tiered visibility, and quality standards to support both practitioners and seekers. Below you will find detailed answers about claiming your profile, editing your listing, membership options, event submissions, and how the platform attracts and serves the right audience over time.

Claiming & Profiles

I saw my name listed. How did it get there?

Practitioner profiles are created to help seekers discover the range of services available in the holistic and metaphysical space. Some listings are added through public information, community recommendations, or practitioner submissions. If your name appears, it simply means your work has been identified as relevant to the types of services people search for on Satori Exchange. You can claim your profile at any time to review, edit, and manage the information shown.

How do I claim my profile?

To claim your profile, you will go to your current business listing and click on the Claim this Profile button at the bottom. You will then get a prompt to create a free member account and submit a request to claim the listing associated with your name. Once your request is reviewed and approved, the profile will be linked to your account. From there, you can edit your information, manage your listing, and choose whether to upgrade your profile for additional visibility.

What happens if I do not claim my profile?

If a profile remains unclaimed, it stays as a very basic listing with limited information and cannot be edited. It simply serves as a placeholder in the directory. Claiming your profile allows you to take ownership of the listing and manage how your work is presented on the platform.

Can someone else claim my profile?

No. Claim requests are reviewed before a profile is connected to an account. Anyone requesting ownership of a listing must confirm they are the practitioner associated with that profile. This verification step helps protect practitioners and ensures profiles remain accurate and properly managed.

I do not see my profile listed. How can I be added?

Not every practitioner will appear in the directory immediately. If you do not see your name listed, you can submit a request to be added using the practitioner request form. Once reviewed, a profile may be created and you will be invited to claim it and manage the listing.

Membership & Pricing

What is included in the free listing?

The free listing allows you to claim your profile and confirm basic details such as your name, short headline, modality category, and location. This creates a simple presence in the practitioner directory so seekers can recognize your work within the platform.

Expanded profile details, contact information, and external links are available through upgraded membership tiers.

What is the difference between Tier 1 and Tier 2?

Both membership tiers allow you to expand beyond the basic listing and actively manage your presence on the platform. Tier 1 unlocks a link to your website, direct email and phone number if you choose, and a short business summary so seekers can learn more about your work and connect with you directly.

Tier 2 provides a more complete practitioner profile that includes everything in Tier 1 PLUS an extended bio, option to upload up to 10 additional images, featured placement within the directory, and an interview article in the Knowledge Hub. This tier is designed for practitioners who want a deeper presence and greater visibility on the platform.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. You can upgrade your membership at any time. Once upgraded, the additional features for that tier will unlock on your profile so you can expand your listing and share more about your work.

Can I downgrade or cancel anytime?

Yes. You can change or cancel your membership at any time by going to My Subscriptions in the account dropdown. If you choose to downgrade or cancel, your profile will simply return to the level associated with your current membership status. Your listing will remain in the directory, but any features tied to the higher membership tier will no longer be displayed.

Are there contracts?

No. Memberships are month-to-month and can be changed or canceled at any time through your account.

Visibility & Marketing

How do seekers find my profile?

Practitioner profiles are discoverable through the Satori Exchange directory, where seekers can search and filter by modality, location, and other relevant categories. The platform is also structured to be search-engine friendly so practitioners and modalities can appear in online searches.

In addition to the directory, profiles may be discovered through related modality pages, educational content within the Knowledge Hub, and practitioner-hosted events listed on the platform.

How does Satori Exchange drive traffic to the site?

Satori Exchange attracts visitors through a combination of search visibility, educational content, partnerships, and ongoing outreach. The platform is structured so modality pages, guides, and practitioner profiles can appear in search results when people are actively looking for holistic or metaphysical services.

Traffic also grows through the Knowledge Hub, practitioner events, community visibility efforts, and collaborations with aligned organizations. Over time, this creates a steady stream of seekers discovering the platform and exploring the practitioners listed within it.

Will my profile appear in search engines like Google?

Yes. Practitioner profile pages are structured so they can be indexed by search engines, which means they may appear in search results when people are looking for related services, modalities, or practitioners.

Search visibility can grow over time as the platform develops more content, links between pages, and overall site authority. This helps seekers discover both the platform and the practitioners listed within it.

How are featured practitioners displayed?

Practitioner listings in the directory are organized by membership level. Tier 2 profiles appear first in directory results, followed by Tier 1, and then basic claimed listings.

In addition to directory placement, Satori Exchange will periodically feature selected practitioners on the homepage in a rotating “Featured Practitioners” section. This placement highlights a small number of profiles at a time and is separate from the standard directory listing. Featured homepage placement may be available for an additional promotional fee.

Is there a limit to how many practitioners you accept per modality?

No. Satori Exchange does not limit the number of practitioners within a specific modality. The goal of the platform is to help seekers explore the full range of services available and connect with practitioners whose approach resonates with them.

Different practitioners often bring unique styles, philosophies, and specialties within the same modality. Allowing multiple practitioners in each category gives seekers the opportunity to compare options and find the right fit for their needs.

Editing & Control

How do I edit my profile after claiming it?

After you submit a claim request, it must first be reviewed and approved. Once your request is approved, the profile will be connected to your member account so you can manage it.

When you are signed into your account, a button labeled Edit Profile will appear at the top of the page. Clicking this will open your profile editor, where you can update your information and manage the details associated with your listing.

Can I add photos, offerings, or certifications?

Yes, depending on your membership level. Expanded profile features such as photos, extended biography sections, and additional details about your work are available with upgraded membership tiers.

These options allow practitioners to provide a fuller picture of their background, approach, and services so seekers can better understand what they offer.

Who approves profile content?

Profile content is not pre-approved before it appears on the platform. Practitioners are responsible for the information they choose to include in their profiles.

However, listings may be reviewed periodically to help maintain the overall clarity, accuracy, and integrity of the directory. If any issues arise, the Satori Exchange team may reach out to request updates or adjustments.

Can my profile be removed if I choose?

Yes. If you decide you no longer want your profile listed on Satori Exchange, you can request that it be removed. Once removed, your practitioner page will no longer appear in the public directory. This ensures practitioners remain in control of whether their work is represented on the platform.

You can do so by submitting your request here.

What happens if my membership expires?

If your membership expires or is canceled, your profile will remain in the directory but will return to the basic listing level. Any features associated with the higher membership tier, such as expanded profile details or links, will no longer be displayed.

You can upgrade again at any time if you choose to restore those features.

Events

How can I submit an event to the events calendar?

Tier 1 and 2 Practitioners can submit events using the event submission form on their member page. Once submitted, the event will be reviewed and added to the Satori Exchange calendar.

At this stage, events are added manually to ensure listings remain clear, accurate, and properly categorized within the calendar.

Can I submit an event to the calendar if I'm not a paying practitioner?

Event submissions are included for Tier 1 and Tier 2 practitioners. These practitioners may submit events through the event submission form on their member page to be added to the calendar.

Occasionally, larger community events that feature many independent holistic or metaphysical practitioners, such as public fairs or community gatherings, may be included at no charge.

Events hosted by an individual practitioner, business, or retreat organizer are considered promotional events and typically require a paid practitioner listing or a separate event listing fee. If you would like to inquire about submitting an event, you can contact us here.

Platform Fit & Standards

Who is Satori Exchange for?

Satori Exchange is designed for practitioners working within holistic, wellness, and metaphysical fields who want a clear and professional way to be discovered by seekers. The platform brings together a wide range of modalities so people exploring personal growth, healing, and spiritual development can more easily find practitioners aligned with their needs.

It is intended for practitioners who approach their work with integrity, respect for clients, and a genuine commitment to the services they offer.

Are there practices that are not accepted?

Yes. Satori Exchange focuses specifically on holistic, wellness, and metaphysical practices that support personal growth, well-being, and spiritual exploration. Modalities that fall outside of this scope may not be included.

In addition, the platform reserves the right to decline listings that are misleading, unethical, or not aligned with the overall standards and purpose of the directory.

Do you verify certifications or credentials?

Satori Exchange does not independently verify certifications or credentials before a practitioner is listed. Practitioners are responsible for representing their background, training, and experience accurately.

Many practitioners choose to include links to their professional websites, certifications, or other information that helps seekers better understand their qualifications. As with any service provider, seekers are encouraged to review a practitioner’s background and decide whether the practitioner feels like the right fit for their needs.

What standards do practitioners need to meet?

Practitioners listed on Satori Exchange are expected to present their work honestly and communicate their services clearly. Listings should accurately reflect the practitioner’s background, offerings, and the modalities they practice.

Practitioners should also approach their work with professionalism, respect for clients, and a genuine intention to support well-being or personal growth. Satori Exchange reserves the right to remove or request updates to listings that appear misleading, inappropriate, or misaligned with the purpose of the platform.

Technical & Account Questions

Do you handle payments or scheduling?

No. Satori Exchange does not process payments, manage scheduling, or take commissions on practitioner services. The platform is designed to help seekers discover practitioners and learn about the services they offer.

Any bookings, payments, or scheduling arrangements are handled directly between the practitioner and the client through the practitioner’s own website, booking system, or preferred method of contact.

Is my contact information publicly visible?

Only if you choose to make it available. Contact details such as a website link or other ways for seekers to reach you are optional profile elements that can be added through your membership tier.

Practitioners control what information appears on their profile and how seekers are able to connect with them.

Can I link to my website or booking platform?

Yes. Practitioners can include a link to their website or booking platform as part of their profile, depending on their membership tier. This allows seekers to visit your site directly to learn more about your services, schedule appointments, or explore additional information about your work.

Can I include contact information in my display name, headline or profile image?

No. Contact information such as phone numbers, email addresses, websites, or social media handles should not be placed in the display name, headline, or featured image.

These areas are intended to identify the practitioner and describe their work, not to bypass the profile structure. If contact information appears in these fields, practitioners may be asked to update the listing or the Satori Exchange team may edit the listing to remove it. Profiles that repeatedly ignore this guideline may be removed from the directory.

Is Satori Exchange only local or nationwide?

Satori Exchange is designed to support both local and virtual practitioners. While the platform may initially highlight practitioners and events within certain regions, the directory itself is not limited to one location.

Practitioners who offer virtual services can work with clients from anywhere, and seekers can search the directory based on location or virtual availability. Over time, the platform is intended to grow into a broader network connecting practitioners and seekers across many regions.
