BACKGROUND
What first sparked your interest in this type of work? Did you face any skepticism or challenges when entering this field?
My interest started from my own curiosity about personal growth and the deeper questions many of us eventually ask about life, purpose, and connection. Over time I attended different retreats and workshops, and I noticed how powerful it can be when people step away from everyday routines and give themselves space to reflect. That experience inspired me both to hold space at retreats and to build Satori Exchange, a platform designed to help people navigate the holistic and metaphysical world more easily.
Of course, there is skepticism around this field, and in many ways that skepticism is understandable. There is a wide range of approaches and quality levels, which can make it confusing for newcomers. Part of my motivation for creating the website was to help bring more clarity and orientation to a space that can sometimes feel scattered or hard to navigate.
PHILOSOPHY
How do you balance intuition, training, and experience in your work? What is something you wish more people understood about holistic or metaphysical work?
For me, intuition, learning, and experience all inform each other. When I’m helping facilitate conversations at retreats or building resources through Satori Exchange, I try to stay curious and grounded at the same time. Intuition helps guide direction, but research, listening to others, and real-world experience help keep things balanced.
One thing I wish more people understood is that holistic and metaphysical exploration isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about creating space for reflection and learning. Whether through a retreat environment or an educational platform like Satori Exchange, the goal is simply to help people explore ideas thoughtfully and discover what resonates for them.
WHAT CLIENTS CAN EXPECT
What are some common reasons people seek out your work? What kinds of outcomes or shifts do people often notice over time?
Many people who attend retreats or explore the platform are simply looking for clarity. They may feel overwhelmed by everyday responsibilities, curious about personal growth, or interested in exploring spiritual ideas in a grounded way. Some are navigating life transitions and want time to reflect outside of their normal environment.
What people often notice over time is a shift in perspective. Sometimes it’s as simple as slowing down enough to reconnect with their own thoughts and priorities. Through retreat conversations or discovering new practices and practitioners on Satori Exchange, many people begin to feel less alone in their questions and more confident exploring what feels meaningful to them.
ADVICE FOR SEEKERS
How can people approach this work with healthy expectations? What small step would you recommend for someone curious about starting?
The healthiest approach is curiosity rather than pressure. You don’t need to adopt a belief system or make major life changes to explore this space. Whether attending a retreat or reading about different practices through Satori Exchange, the goal is simply to learn and experience things with an open but thoughtful mindset.
A good first step is to start small. That might mean attending a workshop, visiting a retreat, or simply reading about different modalities and perspectives. When people give themselves permission to explore gradually, they often discover insights that feel natural rather than forced.
RAPID INSIGHT
What is one word that captures the essence of your work?
Connection
What do clients often discover about themselves during your sessions?
Many people realize they already have more clarity than they thought. When they slow down, whether at a retreat or through deeper conversations, their own inner guidance becomes easier to hear.
Is there a book, teacher, or experience that significantly influenced your path?
Any book that encourages deeper self-reflection tends to stay with me for a long time.
What is something people might not know about you?
Behind the scenes, I spend a lot of time researching different holistic and metaphysical practices. Building Satori Exchange has become a learning journey for me as much as a platform for others.
